You take the assignment
Before you begin, you receive the site, start time, duties and requirements.
A simple way into site work.
Between jobs? Drop into our Malvern office for a chat. Call first so we can make time for you.
The office is welcoming and a bit retro. Work matters, but so do health, connection and time with mates.

Clients need people for a shift, a stage of work or longer. Hulk finds, checks and matches suitable workers to each assignment.
“Contractor” is the everyday term used here. Your legal engagement depends on the work and your agreement with Hulk, which we confirm before you accept an assignment.
The client
Explains the work, site, timing and skills needed, and directs the day-to-day work on site.
Hulk
Finds and checks workers, agrees the assignment, manages the engagement and pays workers Hulk engages.
You
Bring the agreed skills, arrive ready and complete the work safely under the site's direction.

Hulk's client charge covers worker costs, recruitment, checks, administration, support and Hulk's margin.
Clear responsibilities. Shared care.
Where Hulk engages you, Hulk manages the pay, tax, superannuation, insurance and other obligations that apply. Your classification and entitlements depend on your agreement and the work, not the label “contractor”.
In Victoria, Hulk and the host share safety duties for labour hire workers. The host owes them the same workplace safety duties as direct employees.
Victorian labour hire providers must be licensed, and clients must use licensed providers. Other states and territories can apply different rules.
You have the right to a safe workplace, suitable information and training. Tell Hulk and the site supervisor if the job changes or something feels unsafe.
Start with the basics.
Your name, mobile number and a clear outline of what you can do is enough to start. Add tickets, licences or a resume if you have them.
